As we age, gradual volume loss can lead to changes in facial proportions, contributing to areas of hollowness, sagging, or more visible lines and shadows. These are natural changes that occur as skin structure, collagen, and fat distribution evolve over time.
At The Skin Doctors Clinic, we provide volume restoration and facial contouring consultations to help assess and plan treatments that aim to restore balance and definition while maintaining your natural appearance. Our approach focuses on enhancing harmony, softening shadows, and supporting facial structure in a subtle, proportionate way.
Your consultation allows our team to thoroughly assess your facial anatomy, skin quality, and aesthetic goals. From there, we’ll develop a tailored plan to determine which treatment options are clinically appropriate for you, always ensuring any procedure is performed under medical supervision.

Each treatment plan is carefully designed to suit your individual features. Where appropriate, same-day treatment may be offered following your consultation, provided it is safe and suitable to do so.
When planning facial rejuvenation, understanding facial proportion is just as important as technique. At The Skin Doctors Clinic, we consider both the vertical fifths and horizontal thirds of the face — reference points sometimes called the “golden ratio” of facial balance.
These proportions serve as an anatomical guide, helping to maintain harmony between features such as the eyes, nose, lips, and chin. They are not a measure of beauty, but rather a framework that helps practitioners respect natural balance and avoid overcorrection.
By assessing your individual facial structure against these natural proportions, our team aims to create outcomes that appear refreshed and cohesive, without altering the unique characteristics that define you.
To ensure every patient’s treatment plan considers the face as a whole, Dr Jimmy Wang has developed his signature Inner and Outer Contour Protocol — an assessment framework designed to evaluate facial harmony both structurally and aesthetically.
The outer contour refers to the outer frame of the face — including the forehead, temples, pre-auricular area, jawline and chin. These areas largely define the silhouette and overall shape of the face.
The inner contour encompasses the central and expressive features — such as the brows, nose, eyes, lips and perioral region. These zones play a key role in facial character, balance and communication.
By assessing the relationship between the inner and outer contours, our clinicians can identify where subtle restoration or refinement may enhance overall harmony. This holistic approach respects each person’s natural proportions and the principles of the golden ratio, ensuring any treatment complements — rather than changes — individual identity.
Visible improvement is often noticed soon after treatment, with outcomes continuing to refine gradually as the product integrates within the tissue. As every person’s facial structure and metabolism differ, results and duration vary and will be discussed in detail during your consultation.
Under current AHPRA and TGA regulations, clinics are not permitted to publicly list or promote prices for medical aesthetic procedures that involve prescription-only products.
At The Skin Doctors Clinic, treatment costs are discussed during your consultation once your personalised plan has been developed. We offer a tiered pricing structure — treatments performed by Dr Jimmy Wang (Cosmetic Physician, MED0001663746) are priced slightly higher, while treatments with our experienced nurse team are offered at a lower rate.
This ensures transparency and allows you to make an informed choice based on your goals and practitioner preference.
Important InformationAll medical aesthetic procedures carry potential risks, including temporary swelling, tenderness, redness, or bruising in the treated area. These effects are typically short-lived and will be discussed with you in detail before treatment. Your practitioner will also provide guidance on aftercare and expected recovery. |
